More West Nile Virus positive mosquitos detected in Falmouth

FALMOUTH – Another West Nile Virus positive-mosquito was detected in Falmouth around Woods Hole Road.

The Cape Cod Mosquito Control Project collects routine samples as part of the state’s surveillance program for mosquito-borne diseases.

The last positive samples detected in Falmouth were on August 19 off Woods Hole Road and Siders Pond. There have been 5 positive mosquito samples detected in Falmouth this year. 

No human cases have been detected in Falmouth.
