Search warrant leads to cocaine bust in Falmouth

FALMOUTH – Falmouth Police report that they seized cocaine while serving a search warrant Friday morning.

The search warrant was served at 132 Homestead Lane in East Falmouth. The home is well known as a neighborhood nuisance.

During the search cocaine was seized, along with cutting agent, baggies, and scales. The cocaine was packaged separately in preparation for sale.    

Officers identified and arrested a suspect, 41-year-old John B. Cardoza.  

A short narcotics investigation, including controlled purchases of cocaine, led to the search warrant.    

The search warrant was served by Falmouth Police, Mashpee Police, Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office, and the Upper Cape Special Response Team.

Cardoza faces a preliminary charge of possession with intent to distribute cocaine. He is expected to be arraigned Friday in Falmouth District Court.
