FALMOUTH – Falmouth selectmen are looking into two sites that could house a new municipal consolidated dispatch center.
An independent feasibility study is taking place that will focus on the architectural features and communications capabilities of the lower level of police headquarters and the 3rd floor of the fire department.
Town manager Julian Suso says there are benefits to having the study done.
“To help guide the board on being certain that the costs are appropriate and that both of our existing locations for dispatch operations currently have been appropriately considered,” he told selectmen recently.
Town meeting in April rejected plans to convert the Gus Canty Community Center’s stage into an emergency communications hub.
