
FALMOUTH – A septic truck caught fire in Falmouth around 3:15 p.m. The call came in for 485 Thomas B. Landers Road. That address is listed as J&G Auto Recovery and A&L Fuel Co. The truck was close to two fuel trucks and a car. An area of brush was also burning when crews arrived. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Thomas B. Landers Road was closed due to hoses running across it. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in about a half hour. The cabs of the two fuel trucks were damaged but no spillage of fuel was reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The smoke from the fire could be seen for miles as seen in this photo courtesy of the Falmouth fire tower.
