BREWSTER – A pair of horse who arrived emaciated at the Animal Rescue League’s Brewster Animal Care and Adoption Center nearly two months ago are now ready for adoption.
The horses arrived at the center in poor condition after being surrendered by their previous owner in Plymouth County.
Miles, a 20-year-old unaltered Chestnut Quarterhorse, and 18-year-old Pepper, a Chestnut Quarterhorse gelding, are bonded and will need to be adopted together.
The animals are friendly and tolerated saddles while at the care center, but it is unknown if they are suitable for riding.
The adoption fee is $800 for the pair and the ARL will need to ensure that any potential adopter has suitable living space and structure to care for the animals.
