BOURNE – Firefighters responded to Connect 55+ at 13 Rae Kendall Place sometime after 3 PM Monday. Crews were investigating reports of an odor of smoke and investigating if an electrical fire may have started in a wall. A partial evacuation of the building was underway.
About 4:15 PM, firefighters reportedly determined the issue was with a malfunctioning heating system and all residents were allowed to return to their units. No injuries were reported.
