New details: Yarmouth Police investigating after bullet reported coming through residential window

YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police are investigating after reports a bullet went through a window of a residence on Camp Street about 5:45 PM Monday. No one was struck by the apparent gunfire but a woman in the residence was treated for lacerations from flying glass.

From Yarmouth Police: Yarmouth Police were called to a Camp Street residence shortly before 6 PM Monday evening after receiving a 911 call reporting a bullet had come through a window of a home. A resident was alerted when they heard glass break on the other side of an adjoining room. After getting up to see what happened, they found a bullet on the sofa.

Initial investigation by Yarmouth Police Officers and Detectives determined the residents were not targeted in the incident. There were no injuries reported, and residents were not close to where the bullet entered the home.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The Yarmouth Police Department believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.
