Harwich Freemason Lodge to Give Christmas Trees to Disadvantaged Families

Christmas Tree EmptyHARWICH – An inaugural event early next month will see Christmas trees unloaded from a ship at the town dock in Saquatucket Harbor in Harwich and given away to military and disadvantaged families.

The Harwich Pilgrim Masonic Lodge will hold the event the Thursday prior to the town’s Chamber Stroll weekend, December 3rd to benefit families qualified by three community outreach organizations.

The event begins at 5 p.m. at 715 Main Street, Harwich Port, featuring “Santa Clause” aboard the delivery ship.

Additionally, the Pilgrim Lodge will sell trees to the general public the three subsequent days.

December 4th will feature a sale at the parking area of the Harwich Post Office, 10 Post Office Square, between 4 and 9 p.m.

On Saturday, December 6th, another sale will take place at 709 Main Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lastly, another sale from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. will be held at the same location as above, Sunday, December 5th.

Trees during the sales events will cost $40.
