Heroes in The Park to Take Place Later This Month

HYANNIS – The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, in collaboration with Heroes in Transition and the Cotuit Kettleers, will honor veterans, active military members and their families during their annual “Heroes in the Park” celebration later this month.

Heroes in the Park began four years ago when the three organizations decided to work together to honor the Cape’s veterans and active military members.

The honorees will be invited onto the field for a pre-game ceremony before the first pitch, which will be thrown out by a local veteran.

After, the military families are invited to stop by The Coop and Heroes in Transition tables for giveaways, Heroes in the Park ball caps, and the tickets for complimentary concessions.

The event is set to take place Friday, July 12^th at 5 p.m. as the Kettleers take on the Harwich Mariners at Lowell Field, located at 10 Lowell Avenue in Cotuit.

The pregame ceremony begins at 4 p.m.
