HYANNIS – An ambulance caught fire in the tunnel at Cape Cod Hospital around 1:45 p.m. The fire was reportedly in the engine compartment of a Dennis Fire ambulance. No injuries were reported. The tunnel was closed until the ambulance could be towed. The emergency center remained open for patients who could be brought in an alternate entrance. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
