HYANNIS – Fire broke out at a house in Hyannis shortly before 10 PM Saturday evening. The fire at 11 Periwinkle Drive reportedly started in a light fixture in a bathroom. Smoke was detected in the attic of the Cape style home prompting firefighters to check for possible fire extension in the wall. The occupants safely evacuated and no injuries were reported. Mutual aid covered the Hyannis station while crews were at the scene.
