

WEST BARNSTABLE – A car struck a utility pole in West Barnstable late Thursday evening. The crash happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Route 6A by the West Barnstable Post Office. The pole was snapped and wires fell to the ground. The driver was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Route 6A was closed in the area and traffic was expected to be affected well into the morning while the pole was replaced. The crash is under investigation by Barnstable Police.
