DENNIS – The Dennis Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Full-time Emergency Telecommunications Officer for the Town’s Police Department.
The position requires shift work and the ability to multi-task in a stressful environment. Duties include, but not limited to receiving, assessing and disbursing of emergency and routine telephone and radio calls.
Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree or equivalent technical certificate and 1-3 years’ experience in public safety communications; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides skills to perform the job.
Enhanced 911 Dispatcher Certification, CPR, First Responder, and suicide prevention training preferred.
Applicant must successfully complete a Criminal Offender Record Check.
Minimum salary: $24.10/hr. (AFSCME Grade 3/Step 3)
