FALMOUTH – Officers responded to the Magansett Yacht Club in regard to a report of vandalism. The caller reported that someone had wrote on the surface of the smaller dock several derogatory religious symbols. Upon arrival officers located what appeared to be two swastikas, a depiction of a male penis and several large circles on the surface of the dock. It appeared that the images were drawn or formulated with some type of liquid which became hardened as it dried. The DPW was contacted, responded, and cleaned the dock. The incident remains under investigation.
