4,800 Cape Residents Remain Without Power After Storm

BARNSTABLE – About 4,800 people remain without power on Cape Cod this morning in the wake of the storm.

That is a major decrease from yesterday when, at one point, up to 17,000 Cape Codders were without power.

Sandwich, Hyannis, Yarmouth, and Dennis remain the hardest hit communities on the Cape in terms of power outages.

An update from NStar is expected today on the status of the outages. Company officials said yesterday they believed it would day a few days to get back to full operations.
