HARWICH – Cape Cod Young Professionals, the organization that aims to advance the young workforce of the area, will be hosting its 14th annual Community Breakfast event on Friday at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club.
Workers of all ages and industries will engage in discussions regarding the current state of the local workforce development and how to interact with the community, said CEO Lauren Barker.
“This event focuses on civic engagement and issues that are important to the young professionals and young workforce of the Cape,” Barker said.
The sold-out event will feature addresses from Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development for the state Rosalin Acosta, who will be the keynote speaker, as well as State Senator Julian Cyr.
“This event has really evolved over the years to become a very well attended, very highly sought after ticket in town,” Barker said.
“We’re very proud of that.”
A recap of the organization’s efforts in volunteerism throughout the year will also be presented.
The breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. To learn more, visit www.capecodyoungprofessionals.org.
