Incumbent Barnstable Town Councilor Loses Re-Election Bid

HYANNIS – An incumbent member of the Barnstable town council lost his race for re-election Tuesday, as four new members were elected to the board.

John Norman lost his Precinct 12 seat in Marstons Mills to Paula Schnepp 248 to 194.

In Centerville’s Precinct 6, Paul Neary Jr. beat Deborah Converse 351 to 220 to replace Will Crocker, who did not run for re-election.

Britt Beedenbender defeated Michael Moynihan 355 to 154 in Precinct 4 where Centerville’s Fred Chirigotis had reached his term limit.

Matthew Levesque picked up the Precinct 10 seat vacated by Sara Cushing. Levesque was unopposed.

In two other races, incumbents Deb Dagwan and Eric Steinhilber were unopposed, as was Town Clerk Ann Quirk.
