BARNSTABLE – Barnstable Firefighters battled a car fire shortly after noon Sunday. The Volvo station wagon caught fire on Main Street (Route 6A) outside the Barnstable Comedy Club. Two people in the vehicle escaped safely. Traffic was detoured through the county complex around the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
