WELLFLEET – Outer Cape Health Services is officially under new leadership.
The non-profit organization that’s mission is to provide capable care to residents on the Lower and Outer Cape has named Patricia Nadle as CEO after she served the last few months on an interim basis. She officially took over the position at the end of August.
Nadle, who has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry for Cape Cod Healthcare, Prospect Charter/CARE Health Partners, Alegent Health and Crouse Hospital, was hired as Chief Operating Officer in 2015.
“We’ve got a lot of work to do,” she said. “We’ve got some really focused areas that we intend to pursue to completion.”
Nadle takes over as the organization starts a period of growth and expansion. Plans call for the development of a new location for the health center in Harwich that is expected to triple its current capacity.
Previous plans called for a move to the former Stone Horse Motel on Route 28, but Nadle says they may have found a better option.
“The Stone Horse would take longer and cost an awful lot of money,” Nadle said. “I think as a small, federally-qualified clinic we have to be really good stewards of our finances so that we are there in the future for the folks we serve.”
The new option has not been finalized but Nadle said they believe they will deliver a terrific location.
Significant renovations or the replacement of an aging Wellfleet Health Center is also planned.
