DENNIS – Around 4:30 p.m. Thursday a carpenter working on the roof of a two-and-a-half-story home at 6 Match Point in Dennis found himself in a bit of a pickle.
As the sun was setting, moisture developed on the slope of the roof creating dangerously slippery conditions. The carpenter determined that it was unsafe to walk down the slope to his ladder.
A call was made to the Dennis Fire Department, which dispatched Ladder Truck 110 to the scene. Firefighters stretched the ladder to the ridge and the carpenter was able to safely return to earth.
