YARMOUTH – A property that was the scene of constant calls for service from Yarmouth police is meeting the wrecking ball this week.
The former Cape Cod Vacation Condominiums is now in the process of being torn down.
The location was a hot bed of drugs and violence for years. The owners of the Hampton Inn purchased the property for future use.
Yarmouth Police said the removal of the property has helped reduce the police call volume and is another reason why Yarmouth is experiencing a reduction in crime.
“We don’t have set plans yet but we felt it was time to knock it down,” said Hampton Inn Yarmouth General Manager Brenna Sullivan.
