COTUIT – Two people were injured in a head-on crash in Cotuit about 11 PM. The crash happened on Falmouth Road (Route 28) at Santuit-Newtown Road. Firefighters had to extricate some of the victims from the wreckage. MedFlight was requested but unable to respond due to fog. The most seriously injured victim was taken to South Shore Hospital trauma center in Weymouth. Another victim was taken to Cape Cod Hospital. Route 28 was completely closed while the scene was worked. Barnstable Police are investigating.
