BREWSTER – CARE for the Cape and Island is holding a summit on Thursday at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster.
The event will convene leaders from local businesses, environmental organizations and advocates to share stories and suggest solutions so that the group can develop collaborations within the community to help solve pollution and litter issues.
“All of them are really concerned with keeping the Cape clean and preventing litter and keeping our waters pure,” said CARE founder Jill Talladay.
Over 50 people from the Cape, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard are expected to attend the event, which runs from 8:30am to 1 pm.
“We really want to bring together all the people that are working on this issue to talk about and share their best practices,” said Talladay.
The summit will conclude with a presentation of CARE’s 2018 Annual Stewardship Awards and will be followed by a beach cleanup at Paine’s Creek from 1-2pm.
