MASHPEE – Fire damaged a home in Mashpee early Sunday morning. The fire at 165 Ninigret Avenue was reported on a deck shortly before 1:30 AM. Smoke was showing from the attic on arrival. Everyone was able to evacuate the home safely and no injuries were reported. Cotuit and Falmouth firefighters assisted at the scene. Crews were able to get the fire quickly under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross is providing temporary shelter for the occupants. Further details were not immediately available.
