TRURO – A car struck a pole shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday evening in Truro. The crash happened on South Hollow Road just off Route 6. The driver of the Honda Civic Coupe, James Prickett, 44, of Truro was evaluated but declined to go to the hospital. He was taken into custody by Truro Police on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation, improper turn, and uninspected vehicle. During booking, police say they located a small pill on Prickett’s person leading to an additonal charge of possession of a Class B substance. The crash remains under investigation by Truro Police.
