YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police report that on Tuesday at 2:35 a.m., they received phones calls from alert citizens who reported seeing two youth walking down the street trying to open vehicle doors in the area of Nightingale Drive in South Yarmouth. Yarmouth Police Patrol Officers were immediately dispatched to the area and located two suspicious males. The males were detained and subsequently arrested for committing several break-ins in the area. Both were held at YPD Headquarters and schedule for arraignment today in the Barnstable District Court.
Keenan Dakota Laasko, 20, (left) and Dylan Thomas Devine, 18, (right) were both charged with breaking and entering (B&E) a vehicle in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, B&E a vehicle with intent to commit a misdemeanor (2 counts), larceny under $250, and possession of burglarious tools.
The Yarmouth Police Department commends the citizens who “saw something and said something” and the Dispatchers and Patrol Officers who teamed up flawlessly to locate the suspects and make the arrests.
