SANDWICH – A serious crash shortly after 7 PM Monday evening shut down Route 6 westbound in Sandwich. The crash was reported between exits 2 and 1. According to reports, two vehicles collided with one rolling over. The driver of that vehicle was reportedly ejected from the vehicle. A MedFlight helicopter was requested to land at the Henry T. Wing School for the seriously injured victim who was flown to Tufts Medical Center in Boston. The second driver declined medical treatment. State Police are investigating the crash. By 7:30 PM officials were able to reopen one lane of Route 6.
