Dog watchers crime watch training this evening in Yarmouth

YARMOUTH
From Yarmouth Police: Our Dog Watch Training Sessions have been such a huge success!

There are dozens, if not hundreds of dog walkers throughout the community at all times of the day, all days of the week, in all weather conditions, walking their beloved pets. Dog Walkers Watch trains these individuals how to effectively observe and report suspicious activity.

Dog Walkers Crime Watch is a fantastic community policing program that requires no commitment beyond an individual’s regular routine and helps us all keep our neighbors and our community safer.

Anyone who walks a dog in Yarmouth that would like to participate in this innovative program is asked to come to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters for a 1 hour training session.

Feel free to bring your dog and all of our 4-legged graduates will receive a one-of-a kind Yarmouth Dog Walkers Crime Watch blue bandanna.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact Patrol Officer Mary Gibney at [email protected], or Deputy Chief Steven G. Xiarhos at [email protected]

This program is completely free and we look forward to seeing you and your dog here at YPD Headquarters this Tuesday, April 30 at 5:30PM!
