(HYANNIS, MA) – A Hyannis restaurant known for its fine selection of beers can now add bragging rights for its tasty lobster roll!
Finn’s Craft Beer Taphouse, located on Barnstable Rd., topped the competition in the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce’s first-ever Barnstable Bucket List contest in July, as voted by diners who sampled lobster rolls at various restaurants.
This new event was developed by the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce and is designed to entice visitors and locals to taste and vote for the top three foods that people love and crave in the summer… lobster rolls, ice cream and clam chowder.
Restaurants, eateries, clam shacks, ice cream parlors, and more will compete to earn the title, “Best of Barnstable” and a GOLDEN BUCKET AWARD!
Finn’s describes their winning entry as “tender lobster with seasoned mayo mixed with chopped English cucumber.” Sounds like a great summer treat that should be on everyone’s dining list this summer.
“We are so proud of all the restaurants who competed in July’s Barnstable Bucket List. This event provides a fun and unique way to highlight our local restaurants and gave the public a chance to vote for their favorite lobster roll,” said Marty Bruemmel, President and CEO of the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce.
“It’s also a great way to promote local restaurants in the town of Barnstable,” Bruemmel said.
The September competition for best clam chowder gets underway on September 1st. All restaurants serving clam chowder in the Town of Barnstable are invited to participate and can sign up by contacting Marty Bruemmel at the GHCC at 508-775-7778 or email [email protected].
