Bourne Town Hall

BOURNE – Residents in Bourne head to Town Meeting tonight to decide on funding articles for a new wastewater treatment plant and two new positions in town.

Voters are being asked to approve $6.5 million for a proposed wastewater facility which would treat 100,000 more gallons of water per day to help spur town development.

The facility is planned for Queen Sewell Park.

Other articles include funding a new assistant Fire Chief and an assistant town manager.

The cost for the two positions for the rest of the fiscal year total $100,000.
