HARWICH – The Brooks Free Library in Harwich is scheduled to fully re-open later this week, after being plagued by equipment problems for much of this month.
A faulty emergency light inverter has forced library staff to run most of their operations out of the building’s lobby. Crews are scheduled to fix the issue on Wednesday.
Barring any setbacks, the library is set to return to full operations on Thursday.
The library was closed down twice over the summer to repair the lights, before the issue arose again in early September. The problem has at times knocked out all the lights out in the building.
