Coast Guard Medevacs Lobster Fisherman Off Cape Cod

HYANNIS – A lobster fisherman was medically evacuated this morning about 130 miles east of Cape Cod by a Coast Guard helicopter crew.

The MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Cape Cod launched around 11 a.m. after the boat Eagle reported a crewmember had been accidentally impaled.

The 41-year-old victim was hoisted from the boat and was transported to Cape Cod Hospital.
