Local Bank to Offer ‘Storm Recovery Loans’

HYANNIS – The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod is providing special “Storm Recovery Loans” to individuals and families impacted by last week’s storm and tornadoes.

The Coop is offering loans up to $5,000 to help cover the costs of tree removal, roof, siding or window repair, yard cleanup, and other storm-related needs.

A repayment schedule can be chosen between one and 36 months and the bank guarantees a turnaround time of 48 hours after the submission of an application.

“As a community bank, we are here to help Cape Codders through times like this,” said Lisa Oliver, the president and CEO of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod.

“Last week’s tornado impacted so many people’s homes and businesses at arguably the worst time of the year, and we want to help our neighbors get back on their feet as quickly as possible.”

Individuals seeking assistance should visit a bank branch to apply.

Branches are located in East Dennis, East Harwich, Falmouth, Hyannis, Marstons Mills, Sandwich, West Barnstable and Yarmouth Port.
