Cyr Receives Endorsements From SEIU 888, MassEquality

TRURO – Cape and Islands State Senate candidate Julian Cyr has announced the endorsements of two statewide organizations ahead of the democratic primary in September.

SEIU 888 and MassEquality announced Tuesday that they are backing Cyr. MassEquality officials said in a statement that Cyr would stand up for LGBT rights, while officials with SEIU 888 said Cyr has the energy to represent working families on Cape Cod.

Cyr and Shelia Lyons are seeking their party’s nomination. Jim Crocker and Tony Schiavi are seeking the republican nomination.

Incumbent State Senator Dan Wolf is not running for re-election.
