Dedication to be Held for Dowses Beach Shade Structure

OSTERVILLE – A new community shade structure will be dedicated later this month at Dowses Beach in Osterville.

The large umbrella-like structure was donated to the town by the Glenna Kohl Fund for Hope which works to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and prevention of melanoma and to support individuals fighting the skin cancer.

The dedication is Sunday, May 21 at 9:30 a.m. The event takes place prior to the Annual Piggy Trot Road Race, which begins at 10 a.m. Parking will be at a premium and an early arrival is recommended.
