Gas Prices Up 2 Cents in Massachusetts

HYANNIS – The price of gasoline ticked up another two pennies in Massachusetts over the past week.

AAA Northeast reports that self-serve, regular unleaded gas is selling for an average of $2.69 per gallon.

That price is six cents lower than the national average and 17 cents lower than at the same time last year.

“Despite prices either steadying or rising over the last two weeks, motorists are still benefitting from the fact that prices locally are lower than the national average and well below what they were a year ago at this same time,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs for AAA Northeast.

According to GasBuddy.com, prices on Cape Cod are between $2.61 and $2.99.
