Cape Cod residents will soon have a quieter way to enjoy the region’s fastest-growing sport: pickleball.
Island Pickle, a new indoor facility and tavern, is set to open this season.
Developer Bill Russel—who proudly goes by “The Big Dill” on his business card—says the 30,000-plus–square-foot complex at 51 Evergreen Circle will feature ten courts, multiple golf simulators, and a full restaurant, along with live music from Thursday through Sunday.
He also highlights the sport’s surging popularity and the challenges of building such a venue amid today’s financial climate on the Cape.
