BUZZARDS BAY — Both teams had nearly equal shots on goal and almost as many saves from their respective goalies, but turnovers proved costly for the host Massachusetts Maritime men’s lacrosse team Wednesday afternoon as the Clark University Cougars left Clean Harbors Stadium with a decisive, 13-4 victory.

Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s Ryan McNeill was one of the four Buccaneers to score in a tough, 13-4 loss to Clark University Wednesday afternoon at Clean Harbors Stadium in Buzzards Bay.

Clark netted the first nine goals overall, including Johnson’s marker with 6:14 remaining in the third quarter, as the Cougars forced 15 first half turnovers in claiming their second win in the last three outings.
Junior Jon Spencer (Hollis, N.H.) tallied twice in the triumph for Clark, which also received goals off the sticks of seniors Peter Christiansen (Seattle, Wash.) and Keegan Callahan (Tewksbury, Mass.), juniors Rob Holden (East Longmeadow, Mass.), Ryan Moore (West Hartford, Conn.) and Alex Turgeon (Holden, Mass.), sophomore Darius Jagminas (East Greenwich, R.I.) and freshman Will Mandracchia (Melrose, Mass.).
