HARWICH – Around 4:45 PM on Tuesday, Harwich Police and Fire-Rescue were dispatched to the intersection of Depot Road and Route 39 for a 2 car MVA with possible injuries. A Toyota FJ Cruiser and a Toyota Corolla were located partially in the roadway, each with relatively minor damage.
The driver of the Cruiser had self extricated and was uninjured, while the driver of the Corolla was still in the vehicle and was evaluated by Medics, but eventually refused further treatment or transport.
Route 39 was blocked in both directions and detoured around the scene until both vehicles could be removed and the scene cleared.
The accident is being investigated by Harwich Police.
