Community College Receives Praise for Nursing Assistant Program

WEST BARNSTABLE – Cape Cod Community College has received high praise from the state’s Department of Public Health for its Tri-Level Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide program.

The program has been recertified by the Division of Health Care Facility Licensure and Certification for two years, the longest time possible under state regulations, after no deficiencies were found in any area of the review.

Cape Cod Community College President John Cox said the review shows clear evidence that the program provides quality and value to its students.

“Our students can be assured that they are receiving the best possible education and training, and their employers can be equally assured that our graduates are prepared for a career,” Cox said in a released statement.

Cox said the program will only get better after work to renovate and expand the Allied Health and Nursing Teaching Lab is completed this summer.

Enrollment is on-going and individuals interested in the certified program should contact Pauline Philie, the program coordinator, at 774-330-4489.
