SANDWICH – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured in Sandwich Friday afternoon. The accident happened at the intersection of Quaker Meeting House Road and Cotuit Road. Rescuers called for a MedFlight helicopter to land at the Forestdale School which flew the female victim to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. The pickup driver stayed at the scene. Sandwich Police called for a Barnstable Police crash reconstruction officer to assist in the investigation into the crash.
