WEST YARMOUTH – One person was seriously injured in a crash in West Yarmouth shortly before 1 PM. The crash happened at the intersection of Willow Street and Higgins Crowell Road. A Chevy Silverado struck the traffic light control box. An Eastham ambulance happened on the scene and rendered care until Yarmouth officials could arrive. The Eastham ambulance took the victim to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening. The crash caused the traffic lights to malfunction which was slowing traffic in the area. Yarmouth Police are investigating the crash.
