YARMOUTH – Several cars and an old Hyannis fire engine were discovered burning at the Yarmouth Transfer Station on Forest Road about 7 PM Sunday evening. Several passing motorists on the Mid-Cape Highway (Route 6) reported seeing smoke and flames. The fire was knocked down quickly when crews reached the scene. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
