DENNIS PORT – Firefighters were called to a fire in a multi occupancy structure in Dennis Port around 3:30 PM Saturday afternoon. Police reportedly evacuated occupants from the building while firefighters worked to contain the blaze to the middle unit of the building. No injuries to humans were reported but sadly a dog suffered smoke inhalation. The pet was rushed to a veterinarian but could not be saved. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
