CHATHAM – A Chatham Police cruiser and a Toyota Sequoia crashed at the intersection of Old Queen Anne Road and Partridge Path around 6 PM Monday. Both drivers were transported to Cape Cod Hospital by Chatham and Harwich Fire and Rescue with injuries that were not life-threatening. Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction officers from Harwich and Dennis Police were at the scene of the crash investigating. No further information available at this time.

Statement from Chatham Police: On Monday, January 28, 2019, at approximately 06:09 p.m., Chatham Police and Chatham Fire Rescue responded to the intersection of Old Queen Anne Road at Partridge Path for a 2 vehicle crash involving a police cruiser.
A 2007 Toyota Sequoia, operated by: Andrea Wilson, age 35 (from Harwich MA.), was traveling east on Old Queen Anne Road.
A 2016 Ford Explorer Chatham Marked Police Cruiser, operated by: Officer Andrew Hutton, age 48, was traveling on Partridge Path. At the time of the crash, Officer Hutton was not responding to a call for service.
Both vehicle operators suffered minor injuries and both were transported to Cape Cod Hospital. Both vehicles suffered heavy damage.
Officer Hutton has been serving with the Chatham Police Department since 2007.
This crash investigation has been turned over to the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council’s Crash Reconstruction Team. The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department is also assisting.
Further details will be released upon the completion of this investigation.
