DENNIS – The Cape Cod Museum of Art (CCMoA) and the Cape Cod & Islands Art Educators Association unveiled a new exhibition featuring the work of budding young art students.
“Through Young Eyes” will be on view through March 21.
The annual exhibition features the work of students in grades K-12. The selected works were curated by art teachers in the region and represent over 20 schools. Mediums include sculpture, painting, drawing, ceramics, and 3-D art. 72 students are included in the exhibition.
“The Museum and the Art Educators Association have a shared passion for art education in our schools,” said Benton Jones, Cape Cod Museum of Art Acting Executive Director.
“We are thrilled to once again collaborate on this exhibition, which recognizes the talent of local students and their teachers. The works that we received were exceptional and we hope the community will take advantage of this opportunity to see the talent of our local youth.”
The exhibition accentuates Youth Art Month, which celebrates the value of art education and art participation for all children. A closing reception will take place on Thursday, March 21 from 5:30 p.m. through 7:00 p.m.
All are invited to attend the complimentary event to congratulate the young artists and enjoy light refreshments.
