BARNSTABLE – It was a dramatic scene but fortunately no one was seriously injured in Barnstable Village Tuesday afternoon. According to reports, at about 12:45 Tuesday afternoon the driver of a box truck fell out of the truck as it was turning off Breeds Hill Road on to Independence Drive in Barnstable Village. The Aramark truck continued moving without the driver making a 180 degree turn going over the center medium of Independence Drive striking a small tree. The box truck continued forward and was involved in a crash with a pickup truck. It continued on and stopped when it hit the fence at the Barnstable Municipal Airport property line. The driver who fell out was examined at the scene and declined medical treatment. There was very little damage to the pick up truck. Barnstable Police are investigating the incident.
