SANDWICH – Firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire at 165 Quaker Meetinghouse Road just before 7 PM.Tuesday evening. The fire appeared to be in the rear of the two story home. No injuries were reported. Mutual aid responded to the scene and to cover the Sandwich station. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the state fire marshal’s office. The Red Cross is providing temporary shelter for the displaced residents.
