BOURNE – Massachusetts State Police in Bourne arrest two multi-time OUI offenders this week.
Arrested Wednesday at approximately 4:30 p.m., was Michael F Hackett, 47, of Taunton was charged with OUI (5th offense). Trooper Russell Patenaude of the Bourne Barracks stopped a 2004 Nissan on Glenn Charlie Road in Wareham for a motor vehicle violation. After conversation with the driver and a brief investigation, the driver was placed under arrest. The driver was identified by his Massachusetts “ID” as he was found to have a revoked drivers license. Hackett and his passenger also had several open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. Hackett was booked at the Bourne Barracks and arraigned this morning in the Wareham District Court. He was charged with OUI Liquor (5th offense), Possession of Open Container of Alcohol in Vehicle, Negligent Operation,Operating Motor Vehicle on Revoked License and Speeding.
