ORLEANS – As the summer quickly approaches Orleans Police remind you to remember to lock and secure car doors and windows while in town and especially at the beaches (including town landings). Orleans Police have already seen an increase in vehicle break-ins over the past couple of weeks. Burglars typically will not draw unwanted attention to themselves by breaking a window to gain access to a vehicle, but will try to reach in windows and/or try door handles.
